Facelift

Java 1.5 chosen as the development language

Since the release of java 1.5 is drawing near, and since I was rewriting ComicViewer anyways, I decided to do it in 1.5 (using the beta for development.) This means that the next version will not run on anything less than java 1.5. For those using Java WebStart this won't be a problem, because it will download the right JRE if you're missing it. Others will have to do install JRE 1.5 manually.

This also means that the earliest possibility for a release of an alpha version of the new ComicViewer will be when Sun releases Java 1.5, hopefully in about a months time. This will also give me a chance to get a functionally codebase for the first release despite my finals.

Major rewrite started

I just started a major rewrite of the ComicViewer internals, so don't expect the Bleeding Edge build to be functional for quite some time.

Alpha 3 released

Alpha 3 is released. This version features tons of bugfixes and a new easy-to-use interface for selecting which comics to show. Feel free to try it out. (Link is on the right.)
